Update to CDAP Boost Your Business Technology grant application process – Delegation of authority

Effective date: May 31st, 2023

Description of changes

  • As of May 31 2023, The Canada Digital Adoption Program (CDAP) has implemented a change that gives owners or directors of a business the ability to authorize a delegate to apply for the CDAP Boost Your Business Technology grant on their behalf.

Please note that Digital Advisors are not permitted to act as an authorized delegate of the business.

    • The delegate must seek authorization from the director of the business by starting the application process, selecting that they are not a director or owner of the business, and then entering in the director’s first name, last name and email address as prompted.

  • As of June 27th 2023, an applicant can verify their identity online using one of four options.
    • Using their personal banking login (Recommended).
    • Using the Interac Document Verification Service
    • In person visit to a Canada Post outlet near them
    • Requesting an identity verification appointment with a CDAP officer. Note that this option may delay the application process.
