Eligible and ineligible costs as per the Boost your Business Technology

Digital advisors registered under CDAP are expected to demonstrate a willingness to establish and maintain a trusting relationship with the SME clients and CDAP. If it is determined that a trusting relationship with the digital advisor cannot be developed, CDAP can decide to halt all activities with the digital advisor.

Eligible costs

Eligible costs are costs incurred in Canada by the eligible SME directly associated with retaining a registered Digital Advisor and for the direct production of a Digital Adoption Plan. Eligible costs include:

  • Fees, commissions and charges by organizations providing Digital Advisory services and registered on the Digital Advisor Marketplace website for the production of a Digital Adoption Plan;
  • Applicable federal and/or provincial sales taxes applied to the fees and commissions charged by the Digital Advisors listed on the DigitalAdvisor Marketplace and only for the purpose of producing a Digital Adoption Plan for the funding recipient.
  • Any rebates or discounts offered by the digital advisor to CDAP SME applicants should be reflected on the final invoice before CDAP disburses the grant payment. Funding provided as a result of any misrepresentation will be repayable in full as per the program guide.

Ineligible costs

Any costs not directly related to the direct production of a Digital Adoption Plan for the eligible SME. Ineligible costs can include but are not limited to:

  • Any activities not directly related to the development and production of a Digital Adoption Plan by the organizations registered on the DigitalAdvisor Marketplace;
